Minnesota Majority today announced major innovations for the organization. For the first time, Minnesota Majority has implemented a new, tiered membership program, which provides supporters with unique opportunities to get involved in the work that Minnesota Majority does. With opportunities ranging from providing expanded access to events Minnesota Majority hosts to helping participate in the decision making process on what issues the organization will direct its attention to (decisions previously reserved solely for board members), there is a level of engagement for everyone.
In addition to the new membership levels, Minnesota Majority today, unveiled their new Action Center, the premier resource for grassroots citizen engagement in Minnesota. From the new Action Center, activists can do everything from the most basic task of looking up who represents them to finding tools to engage their elected officials in a variety of ways. The tools for engaging officials and the public range from sending a tweet or email to penning a letter to the editor.
“We are thrilled to announce the new Action Center we have been working to implement,” Minnesota Majority president Dan McGrath said, “time and time again we have seen that grassroots voices and citizen engagement can shape decisions made at the Capitol, which impact all hardworking Minnesotans. From shining light on the childcare unionization scheme to making real progress on election reform, and educating the public on issues important to them at the Capitol, our members have made the difference and it is our hope that the new tools we are offering will only help amplify their message.”
