On July 13, 2010, Megyn Kelly of Fox News interviewed John Fund of the Wall Street Journal regarding Minnesota Majority's research into felon voters.  Fund says that it was Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie's "dereliction of duties" that allowed these felons to vote in the 2008 election.  Fund also comments on the 2008 election in his most recent column in the Wall Street Journal.

WOW you mean the media arm of the Republican party (Fox News) calls Democrat Mark Ritchie out for "dereliction of duties"?!? Boy that MUST be fair and balanced. But I don't know, I don't trust news when there's a women anchor. You know: why is she involved in Men's business and not in the home caring for her kids.

Intimidated by girls, Johnny? Weak as a democrat is a democrat. A man that believes in exception and not correction, is not a man by character, only weak and pathetic by gender.

The Felons do not know when they are eligible to vote again or when they can have a gun again for that matter. We work with felons in housing and employment. Most of them seem to think they can never vote or have a gun again.

If this is a national problem that occurs in every state, why is it Mark Ritchie's fault? To assume that the felons voted for Franken and may have swung the election is grasping at straws. I am embarassed to be a republican, what a joke.

I think Dan Severson would have served the public better by continuing to be our State rep or at least going for the State Senate. The Secretary of State job is nothing but a political step up of some sort.
What does the Secretary of State do for us, the (Republican) voters of Minnesota? Oh, yeah, He's supposed to stop felons from voting for the opponent, right?

What's stopping felons from finding out if they are eligible to vote? That's a real pathetic excuse!

Why would felons vote for republicans? Republicans represent life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness under common law. Unlike democrats who manipulate the law to convenience and accommodate their favorites for votes. And if not the secretary of the state of Minnesota, who would you hold accountable for voter fraud in the state of Minnesota? There has to be accountability or there is failed leadership.
